Got a job offer today. Really cracking post, twice my previous
salary and a few extra perks. Make my own schedule, bonuses, health
benefits.
I'd have liked to accept on the spot, but I'm mad, you see - so I
expressed that I'd have to think it over and would get back in a few days.
Then I bought a $4.00 coffee at Starbuck's. Used both sugar and sugar-twin.
this way, I rationalize that I can lose weight more quickly. What a mad thing
to do, it hit me on the way back to the bus.
Indeed. I'm mad, in case you hadn't caught the jist.

Diary of a Madman - Nov. 30
Nov. 30
Blast. Where does the year go?
Beautiful breezy day coming in to work, temps above seasonal. Had planned
to go for some Korean, but closed for some reason. So made do with
Subway. Wretched meatball sub with bread the consistency of drywall.
It's enough to drive anyone mad.
But, then again - I am already.
Ordered sandwich with lots of pickles, and added mayo - a rather crazy type of
combination, but, as I said - mad.
Overpriced food. Tried to pay with old hallowe'en candy instead of cash, because,
you guessed it - mad. Clerk wouldn't hear of it, though. Had to dig (like mad) for
extra pocket change. Just made it.
Alley on way toward work reminded me of Charenton asylum. Never been.
I suppose that's what we mad people do - recall past, or never-lived, lives. Would
like to see the place, though, just to find out if I was close or not.
Madly yours,
Muckingfad
